This module transforms Equation Editor 2.x / 3.x objects into the Microsoft Equation format. With it, you can easily upgrade legacy documents and modify old equations using the regular Microsoft Equation Editor.
- The Equation3-to-Equation converter is an integral part of the MathType-to-Equation module.
This freeware utility extracts Microsoft Word graphical objects (images, pictures, raster/vector graphics, diagrams, etc.) and creates PostScript files, which can be inserted into TeX/LaTeX document.
Cross-referencing is an essential aspect of professionally prepared documents. References can be maintained manually (as most of the Microsoft Word users are used to do), but with the document size growth the procedure of maintaining references becomes a quite time-consuming task. And it would be a nice idea to automate such a tedious routine. The freeware GrindEQ Cross-references utilities provide incredibly easy tools to do this.
With GrindEQ Math Utilities you can change Equation Editor 3.x appearance to MathType style: Equation Editor 3.x will start in its own window, so you will be able to select different view zoom and edit several equations simultaneously. The Normalizer utility normalizes Equation Editor 3.x objects to the same appearance (e.g. the same font, style, and size).

Converting equations between different formats has long been a challenge for the scientific community, particularly when preparing papers for conferences and journals. To address this, a group of professors and students formed the GrindEQ Team during an international workshop on intelligent automation systems in 1996, launching the GrindEQ Project.
Our core mission is to enable seamless, automatic conversion between LaTeX and Microsoft Equation / MathType formats. Our early releases, Word-to-TeX and TeX-to-Word, have been successfully used to prepare scientific papers for major international conferences in the USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, and Ukraine, as well as over a dozen other countries. Following this success, GrindEQ transitioned to a commercial project in 2002.

Due to fundamental differences between Word and LaTeX formats, minor visual layout variations may occur in the converted document. However, all mathematical equations are converted with the highest possible precision and remain fully editable.
